Violinstudium in Bern und Wien, Anregungen zur Barockgeige kamen von J. Mertin, E. Melkus und N. Harnoncourt, eigenes Quellenstudium. Publikationen zur barocken Violintechnik und zur Viola d‘amore, zuletzt die Quellensammlung „Die Violintechnik im Wandel der Zeit“ (LIT-Verlag); Wiederbelebung der französischen Bogentechnik des 17. Jhs., Konzerte und Workshops in ganz Europa, USA und Korea. Verleihung des Jacob Stainer- Preises für Verdienste um die Alte Musik. Born in Bern (CH), Marianne Rônez initially studied violin in her hometown with Ulrich Lehmann, and at the Vienna „Musikhochschule“ with Josef Sivo. There she also met Prof. Josef Mertin, who gave her important impulses toward the understanding of „early music“. She received further stimulus from Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Together with Ernst Kubitschek, she founded the ensemble „Affetti Musicali“ with which she has given numerous concerts throughout Europe, USA and Corea. A focal point of her solo repertoire is formed by the violin compositions of the South-German composers around H.I.F. Biber, as well as by the works of J.S. Bach and W.A. Mozart. Marianne Rônez has done extensive research on the history of violin playing, the results of which have influenced her own style. 2012 her compendium about the developement of violin technique from the beginning up to the 19th century was published. It contains a lot of sources and citations from the baroque area. The viola d´amore is also an important part of her activities. The second edition is coming out 2015. She is making reseraches about the history and music of this instrument. Also several contemporary composers have written works for her.
Extended concert activities and teaching in courses in Europe, USA and Corea. Radio and CD recordings. Some of it has been awarded with prices  (Biber, Mystery-Sonatas, Viola d´amore). Publications of musicological works on the history of the violin and the viola d´amore.
Together with her husband, Ernst Kubitschek, she got the Jacob Stainer price of the City of Innsbruck for outstanding contribution to early music.
